My thinking is that the reason it works on Potter panels is more of a happy accident of the P-Link 24V supply being connected to the internal 24V DC bus on the panel by nothing more than a PTC or equivalent component, if that, and the upstream regulator circuitry in the battery charger not getting fried by the reverse power situation that results.
I just didn’t know if there were other panels it was true for, or if it’s more common that the regulator in the charger isn’t reverse power protected and thus may sustain damage from a “jump start”.
