Vintage Standard Electric Fire Alarm System.

Here’s a vintage Standard Electric Time UAX fire alarm system from the late 50s still in service to this day, flush Standard branded 4040 vibratone horns, 5ft tall pull stations and a nice coded fire alarm panel. This is in some giant office tower building.

Really cool and really old National Time “2000 series” fire alarm system still in service in this small church building. Two National Time 311-F horns and two National Time 3500N break glass stations in this building. Panel is housed in the buildings electrical room.

Grandfathered simplex system, only one small part of the building has these devices “grandfathered” from the prior original system. The system was most likely a Simplex 2001 originally it’s now a Simplex 4100ES. Everything else around the building is nothing but new voice evac stuff. I was told by a tech that once they replace systems they keep all the old stuff for spare parts for systems, but this is one of the only “old” stuff left on campus as the campus is a giant Simplex 4100ES network almost every building is a ES system now. Theres a couple of 4100+’s and 4100U systems lerking around but they have been upgrading them to ES software. The campus originally had a good amount of Simplex 2001 systems with 4051s or 4050-80s, 4208 systems, a couple 4246s and 47s, and a couple had Natsco but most was replaced in the 80s with 80s Simplex stuff such as 4001 and 4002 systems with 2903s or 9101s. The 90s systems were nothing but 4903s speaker strobes replacing the 80s systems and or whatever older systems were left. Now it’s nothing but ES software.

huge photo dump of old disconnected National Time Type-411 horns behind “R-Enclosures” flush grilles.

Originally a National Time 2000 system, then replaced by a National Time 7000 system in the late 70s now currently a modern Natsco 900 series system with Natsco branded commanders.

Findings in Detroit.

Active National Time “2000” system with an old National Time annunciator and 411 horns in “R-Enclosures” flush grilles. There’s also a ton of leftover Autocall “Executive” mechanical chimes that I’m thinking were connected to a scheduled bell system with the old Stromberg clocks.

you know I actually found some Simplex 4037’s in an apartment tower in Akron

Very old National Time fire alarm system, original horns to the school are those Natsco rebranded Federal horns (Natsco model: Type-331” and those break glass stations “Type-3500N”, they also had additional 411 horns added on around the school.

Not a 2001…… faraday system

It might have formerly had a 2001 in place though going by the older Simplex devices present (heck maybe it even still has one that’s tied into the Faraday panel).
