Kids evacuate the whole building by using sprinkler test valve in a water fight
Could be for voice intelligibiltiy. So it’s been said if you take more speakers and put them at less wattage in open areas like that, the audio message is much more clearer than if you were to put less speakers at higher wattages. Plus codes where strobes need to be visible at all times and what not.
I understand the multiple speakers thing, but the strobe is crazy. Every NA has 4 strobes, for 360 coverage, so multiple in a small given area is overkill in my opinion.
At a park in my old area, there’s a full Siemens system in a tiny building that just has small restrooms and a concession stand with an open gazebo-like area in between.
Also if they were using addressable for the suppression and waterflow features, then they should’ve just used a 5700 lol
I have a small building here on the Long Beach VA campus that is about 50 square feet (IT Equipment). The room has one smoke detector and a waterflow device (for one sprinkler). There is a bell on the exterior and it’s all run by a full EST3 panel. The funny part is that we’re going to upgrade it to EST4.
A small elementary school from the late 60s in my city has a Hochiki voice evacuation system
That DSC alarm looks interesting. I wonder what it is used for.
