My most recent good find was a FireX FADCM/FADCQ
Would you count Pre. 1995 FireX stuff good?
That’s actually not bad for a beginner as I once struggled as well
90’s FireX devices aren’t common, but not what I’d call rare. But if you find anything older than that (eg. FX1014, FX1020, FX830, FXB-1, FXC-1) then those are quite good especially the last that three I listed.
That was an FADCM as the text was engraved (at least what I thought) rather than printed in ink.
How can I identify them? because I find ones that look like that kind of design all the time and they all look the same.
The FXC has a cord running into it. The FXB doesn’t actually have a test button, the dark spot is just an indicator. The 1020s and 1014s rather have a red LED instead of a green one. The 830 has a white button.

Oops the FXBs actually do have a button, I think instead it might be the FXWs that don’t have a button

Yeah I’m pretty sure going by the light in the center that that is indeed a Pyrotector Smoke Switch 30-290.
