Rare Smoke Detectors

You mean “Pyrotronics”? I’ve known them to make extremely-radioactive detectors but not Pyrotector.

Something else of note is that the horn grille on the photo of the detector on the back of the packaging appears to have its holes filled in.

Not that I know of for one.

Not to brag but I snagged the deal on that 941 (or 941CA as Sidney said) for sale that I found, as seen that it’s no longer available. Should arrive between the 10th and the 19th.

:balloon::balloon::tada::tada::tada::confetti_ball: Quite excited! Got it while it was hot, well… not on fire but still hot if you know what I mean. Also I heard that the loudness of these is quite alarming!

I also have an alarm on the way although it’s not very rare

That’s actually really cool no matter the rarity. What alarm is it?

Fyrnetics Lifesaver 0905

That’s quite a good find actually! I actually don’t see those that often.

Really? when I was deciding if I wanted to get it there were basically four of them on there, there was three listings though because one of the listings was of two of them, I thought they were pretty common.

They’re uncommon to find in a house but they’re not hard to find on marketplaces like that so they’re uncommon

Also apparently it’s supposed to come by March 7, but I don’t know now since since yesterday the USPS tracking system has been having a problem and I can’t track it anymore :frowning:

Here’s an image of the error

I thought I got a better photo of the thing but apparently not it’s the yellow thing in the top of the screen it’s some sort of 1839

This is the first time I’ve seen two different generations of a series right next to each other

1839/86rac

1839aci

Brk/first alert X2

Code One 2000 G-18 I think

Here’s two oranged units

I don’t believe that’s the case here however: on the left is an FG200-series smoke detector, while on the right is a CO250-series CO detector. Still though, it’s not every day you see different kinds of detectors with matching designs side-by-side like that!

You mean “yellowed”, right?

Nope I mean Oranged

This isn’t yellowed enough to be considered “oranged”. Basically, the term “Oranged” means extremely yellowed/sunbaked.

Is lifesaver a brand or a series?

Also what is the model of this Lifesaver? because it looks like just a 0905 but it also has an extra LED.

That is most likely a 1225 as it has the larger bracket

That makes sense I guess, though perhaps it should be “browned” instead given that’s often the color they’re closer to at that point.

I believe Lifesaver has basically always been a brand/product line name (series too I guess), originating under Fyrnetics & now being owned by Kidde after the latter acquired Fyrnetics.

Basically two peas in a pod lol

Good way to put it actually!
