Rare Wheelock 30 series Fire Alarm Horn and Early Flush Plate

What TC116 said, those are amazing finds and you should try and save them like I am with my high school. Especially me being a graduate doesn’t stop me.

i’ll probably do that if the mall is slated for demolition. I have another friend who lives in the same city as me that is also interested in old fire alarms (you guys may know him as SDTR Sign & Signal).

@SDTR_Sign_Signal is his username.

I didn’t even know he was active on here, but thanks for letting me know

From what I’ve gathered from him on a Discord server, he’s not active on here at all

I happen to follow him on Reddit though

Lol that aint gonna happen, those things are extinct

You don’t know that… No one knows for sure

Nah buddy they are, even if there was one being removed, firecom does the removals and replacements. They haul them off

I believe we don’t actually know for sure if Firecom is the only one allowed to do such removals & replacements, but in any case for all we know they may have one sitting in a back room somewhere for whatever reason: you never know!

Well said! For all we know I could start my urban exploration life and stumble upon one in New York State.

Yeah you’re more likely to win the lottery then find one of those in working shape, I don’t think you know how massive those things are

Wait, Firecom is still in business???

Yes. They are still in business. Their LSN-2000 system is very popular in NYC. They are now rebranding Wheelock/Eaton Eluxa devices as their notification appliances.

Here is their website:

I’m assuming Edwards bought out Firecom, or Firecom bought out Edwards.

I think Firecom forgot how to Firecom :thinking:

Yes, they still build systems

No idea where or how you could have gotten that idea but no: Firecom is owned by a company called “Pavion Corporation”, & as far as I know neither Firecom nor Pavion owns any other life safety companies.
