I believe that only applies in a few jurisdictions that specifically require metal pull stations in outdoor locations. The BG-12 datasheet lists several outdoor models that I assume are made of plastic.
Well whether only specific places require it or not really doesn’t matter: it’s basically a fact that metal pull stations do hold up to outdoor conditions better than plastic ones.
Probably a Bluetooth modified BG-12 that pairs to a panel with wires connecting it. The Bluetooth would probably be a backup power supply to pair with the panel. But this is digging into a futuristic mind wormhole that I don’t have resources to dig into. Take this with a grain of salt as the Fire-lite BG-14 is fictional pull station.
