Smoke detectors were only in the hallways. I don’t remember how many or where exactly, but there weren’t many.
That explained why one of the teachers pulled the alarm
Yes.
This didn’t happen to me per say, but it was a story a teacher told me once. Apparently at my high school while they were building a walk way to connect the new second story to the old first story, a small fire broke out in that area. This set the fire alarm off and a sprinkler also activated. One teacher panic and flew out of his room like crazy and started to yell at another teacher all hysterical, but that teacher knew that since there was construction going on, the fire alarms would be going off, but he didn’t know about the sprinkler. The sprinkler created a flood that went down the walkway and into the cafetorium, making a big mess that took a long time to clean.
One time in 2nd grade, I guess people were there to work on the system. (We had EST genesises in Code 3 and EST 270-SPO’s) the school bells which were Stromberg 6" bells kept making this funny squealing noise, as if they weren’t getting enough power. Then, all of a sudden, BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP went the genesis in our room. Then back to the squealing of the bells. It was only the genesis in our room, not anywhere else.
Prob the humidity effecting the detectors
No, probably not.
In the future use full words.
I remember back in grade 4, when we were done recess one day, and my teacher kept our whole class outside in our line, and was lecturing us. I don’t know if anyone else did this, but when recess was over we had to line up in lines, be quiet, and wait for our teachers to let us in. Of course our class wasn’t quiet once. So she was going on with this lecture, when all of a sudden the fire bells started up. We all proceeded to head to the field, but she stopped us, made us listen to the rest of her lecture, and then go out to the field  .
