The combination of a Wheelock AS and Simplex TrueAlert has to be the loudest for electric horns. I’ve heard them both at the same time when I was in a portable.
Yeah Wheelock electronic horns are insanely loud.
I would say it is the EST 792-7A-006 because those were at my elementary school and were set to continuous high volume, which gave everyone basically PTSD from those days.
The loudest fire alarm I’ve heard is my Wheelock 7002T-12. It’s so loud I can’t be in the same room with it without hearing protection or covering my ears. Haven’t heard any other mechanical horns besides scoreboard horns, which were all Federal Signal Vibratone 350s so can’t really compare it to anything else. It is definitely much louder than a Vibratone 350 tho. As for the electronic horns, that would be the System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance as it’s almost as loud as my 7002T but I can still handle it up close without having to cover my ears. It is still very loud and painful though. The second would by my Wheelock MT-24-MS, My school’s Wheelock/Siemens ZNS-24s, Siemens UMMTs, and my Gentex SHG-24-15/75WR
is System Sensor spectrAlert Classics
Gentex Commander 2 on 2.4Khz
I had that in my elementary school too. I hated them lol
I remember hearing Wheelock AS devices go off at a walmart once, it was deafening
est genesis speaker strobes at my old school
Definitely the Simplex TrueAlert and the Gentex Commander 2/3.
The Simplex TrueAlerts at my Elementary in Michigan were Painful.
The Gentex Commander 2/3s at the Elementary School I went to in Kentucky were painfully loud. On top of that, the School Recently did a Fire Drill while I was running a Mile in my Gym Class and I could hear the Commander 3s all the way from the Starting Line of the Track.
Loudest one I’ve heard are EST Genesis horn strobes. Never thought something the size of a deck of cards could be so loud. I would also say the simplex 4903 electronic horns are pretty loud too.
Those things are everywhere in my school!
