I just received what I believe to be a fairly uncommon alarm (at least by nomenclature). The device is a Cerberus Pyrotronics AES-24SH horn/strobe, which is the C-P private-label version of the Wheelock AES-DL1-WS-24.
I didn’t know Cerberus Pyrotronics ever used this line of Wheelock signals. How common are they under the Wheelock badge?
From many pictures, (Cerberus) Pyrotronics rebrands the most obscure Wheelock signals. I didn’t even know the Wheelock HSPW existed until i saw a Siemens rebrand of it (google images, unfortunately)

Cerberus Pyrotronics definitely did rebrand some obscure stuff at the time, but the HDC//HSD-Series (34//7001/2) and MT/MTS-Series (MT series) seem to be the most common rebrands.
Yep. The Wheelock HSPW was dubbed the Cerberus Pyrotronics S110-RET and its remote strobe counterpart was known as the S110-STD (not sure who at C-P thought of THAT nomenclature… ).

Yes they do, I have yet to see what an SS70-15/75s speak strobe looks like.

I’m pretty sure the SS70-15/75S is just a rebranded Wheelock ET-1070-LSM-24, but I haven’t been able to find any datasheets to confirm it. Cerberus Pyrotronics didn’t launch a website until they were already into the Faraday-Siemens era (late 1996–early 1997 if I’m not mistaken).
I hope that you can post pictures of it sometime! It seems like it is very neat!

I will when I can. I head back to college on Thursday so I’m busy preparing, and we’re currently in the middle of a kitchen renovation. Time is definitely limited.
The alarm looks like (and is definitely as LOUD as) any other EH-24S (Wheelock EH-DL1-WS-24) horn/strobe, which is cosmetically identical to an EHS-DL1. The back, however, has four sets of terminals. Each tone (Horn/Siren/Warble) have their own +/- terminals, and the strobe has its own set as well. There’s a DIP switch package as well; the far right switch is high/low volume, and the remaining three allow the user to select two or four wire operation based on which tone selection the power is applied to. Press the appropriate switch up for two-wire, down for four-wire.
It does sound like it is interesting. I would be hoping that you could make a video of it and put it on YouTube but I’m not sure if you do stuff like that.

I"m not really into making videos for YouTube or any other platform. I’m currently halfway through a Bachelor’s Degree with three minors attached and the possibility of a Master’s Degree on the horizon, so I don’t really have time anyway.
I’ve seen these horns, branded under C-P, at a local pool. They were on a Simplex system that was retrofitted into the building when they added on the pool.
