This little nuget was emailed to me from an inspection vendor:
“30 Minute Battery Discharge Test Table 14.4.5 6.(b(3),d(3)) Batteries – NiCd, sealed lead-acid – 30 minute discharge test”
can someone please give me the criteria and the testing method for this NFPA test?
In what context is this sealed lead acid battery being used for? It’s hard to pinpoint which NFPA test you’re talking about (if it even exists).
Please note 14.4.5 section 6 (d)(2). Im looking for the proceedure for this.
Generally, you would disconnect primary power, wait 30 minutes on backup battery, then make sure the system still has enough power to operate and activate notification for at least 5 minutes.
