Trouble resetting our Simplex 4100 Trouble ACK button at work. Im a novice. Any advice??
Hi, it sounds like you’re trying to acknowledge a trouble to silence the piezo on the panel correct? If you’re pressing “ACK” and it doesn’t silence, it’s likely you’re pressing on the annunciator panel (usually located near a front door or front desk) rather than the main control panel. To activate the annunciator, you’ll need the key in it and unlocked for the buttons to do anything.
If it’s the main panel, those buttons should work assuming the cabinet is unlocked for you to access the buttons. If you’re still stuck, consider showing us a picture and giving us some more details as to what you’re seeing.
What is the TROUBLE condition on the display? Many times trouble conditions will clear when the device’s condition returns to a normal state. The RESET button is generally to restore alarms.
