Hi! so i am currently building an arduino mega fire alarm system and i recently got a simplex 4099-9001 pullstation and im trying to fiigure out how i can get my arduino system to read that as my other 2 pulls on the system are conventional.
The 4099-9001 is an addressable pull station designed only for use with MAPNET II or IDNet-compatible Simplex panels. To my knowledge, nobody has been able to reverse-engineer the protocol for hobbyist use at this time.
You can still use the pull station conventionally. The bottom two terminal screws (with the leads from the button) can be used to wire the station as conventional. You can either use the terminal blocks provided, or use a wire nut/WAGO connector on the wire leads themselves to connect it. You may need to remove the “FACTORY WIRING” sticker, if one is present.
