Anyone have a interest in them? I have a LifePak CR Plus Semiautomatic in my school, and a Philips HeartStart FRx in the house. No one has heart conditions, but better safe from Sudden Cardiac Arrest than sorry.
UPDATE: I got a new Lifepak 1000 defibrillator! (Had to trade in my heartstart, oh well!)
An AED is a nice thing to have in a home, especially if you have older people or people with heart problems living at your house.
Don’t play with it, test it monthly using the instructions that come with the unit. Keep the batteries fresh, and keep a maintenance log for it.
It’s not a toy – you should maintain it in case it actually had to be used.
Based off the price I doubt that it’s yours or that its just something you “have” for the hell of it.
I carry one on my trunk and it was about 2 grand. The most basic of units costing in the ballpark of 900.
Not sure what you are talking about with “trading in” either. They have very little after life value.
I know, there is a program at a hospital that takes old home defines and gives you profit. And I got the Lifepak 1000 for my house as a monitor. My uncle works at a company that works with these units so I got it for around $1500. Just a expensive interest.
