It’s probably not a good idea unless you are licensed to install fire alarm systems. A plywood demo board would be fine.

Those are some words of wisdom! Anyways, always mount your “play” system on Plywood and make sure the power source is easily removable. If possible, don’t mount the plywood to your wall . Lean it up again your wall or hang it up in closet so it is portable and can be move around (or out if necessary). Also, always remember to disconnect the power when the system is not in use.
