In Narita Airport in Japan there are no pull stations or notification appliances… they rely on smoke detectors or reporting the fire via emergency phone and then I assume the evacuation message is simply transmitted over the PA system.
Given my last post was slightly off topic(my apologies) I would like to bring this thread back on topic with the American alarms of Incheon Airport Terminal 2.
I believe that unlike Terminal 1 there is an EST system in use at Terminal 2, with Genesis Xenon and LED remote strobes and SIGA detectors paired with GFS call points
Are you sure that the old airport had simplex? never knew that. I did know that instanbul airport had EST strobes but a siemens system. I think you saw siemens. This is a picture my family took in istanbul airport
The old airport has street view images that went through it in 2013, which shows the Simplex devices. You can see the Simplex smoke and the remote strobes, and to the right, you will also find the pull station. I looked a little further, and it looks like there are some Truealert remote strobes as well.
