Around what year did the EST 2 come out?

I’m trying to figure out if the EST 2 and SIGA-278 came out around the same time.

According to what I’ve read the EST2 was released in 1995 while the 276/278-series started being made sometime in the 80s (mid-to-late 80s I think).

Here’s one source of the EST2’s release date: another is in some kind of Google document from what I remember (forget how I found it though). As for the 276/278-series, I know NewAgeServerAlarm once said that it started being made sometime in the 80s (not sure of the exact year however).
