BlitzBiker2001's Vintage Simplex Collection

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted an updated collection, so I figured I would show just the Simplex devices in my collection since that’s what I like most. I’ll eventually make a post about my non-Simplex devices. Now since part of my collection is in storage, I’ll have to group pictures of similar devices since they can’t be displayed together. I should also note that nothing from my collection is for sale, I’ve worked really hard to get where I am.

Edit: All devices labeled in bold text have been added to my collection as of 3/3/24.

Simplex 2903 Family

16x Simplex 2901-9838 on Simplex 2903-9001’s
I have quite a few 9838’s on 9001’s. All but one of these came from a Simplex 4002/4005 system at an elementary school I attended from 2011-2013, and I often dreamed about removing these to have for my collection. Though I didn’t personally removed them I’m still happy to have a piece of my childhood.

2x Simplex 2901-9833 on Simplex 2903-9102 w/ 1 back box. I got these from the electrical program I attended during high school. My old teacher said they were donated by a security company over 20 years ago. Interestingly one of the 9833’s has pigtails instead of terminals.

This came from the same 4002/4005 system that all those 9838’s on 9001’s came from, which you’ll see more parts of the system later.

Panels

1x Simplex 2001-3081. I haven’t been able to get this working yet, I think it’s got a bad NAC card. I really want to get this worked because it’s in near pristine physical condition.

1x Simplex 4005 in Simplex 4002 cabinet. This was the panel setup I pulled out of the school with all the 2903’s. The 4005 guts I put in it are not original, and it’s still a work in progress.
