Bowling Alley Fire Safety Fail

First off, I just wanted to say that I put this in the general discussion category because I wasn’t exactly sure where to put it. If someone thinks it should be changed, feel free to let me know or change it yourself.

North Hill Bowl- Minot, ND

I wouldn’t normally name an entire building as a fire safety fail, but this place fits the bill. This place is fairly big, and even has a second floor in part of it. There are absolutely no fire alarm devices or even sprinklers. There is also a concerning lack of working/accessible fire extinguishers, emergency lights, exit signs, and exit doors/paths. This place gets packed with hundreds of people during tournaments too.

Here is one example that I took a picture of:

You can see that the arcade machine is blocking a fire extinguisher and an exit door. That door is not a double door, so that means it is completely blocked by an extremely large and heavy arcade machine.

As a side note, I would never recommend coming here. It is almost as bad at being a bowling alley as it is at having good fire safety.

Seriously? Sheesh, seems like a serious incident waiting to happen!

You really should find whoever’s in charge of enforcing life safety codes there & report that location to them, so that hopefully those deficiences will be corrected (which may in turn result in lives being saved if something does happen).

Dangerous situation that needs urgent attention! Reporting it to the proper authorities could help fix these issues and potentially save lives if an incident occurs.
