Hey guys, while I was filming wall system test 2, I pulled the ms 2 and this is what happened to the lift mechanism, how do I fix it?
Looks like you just need to force the pin on the “lift” piece back into the hole where it’s supposed to go.
Easy fix - change the MS-2 label on the back to a MS-6!
Seriously though, I can’t tell by the picture but is the pin bent? I’m sure they are just friction fitted in there. Take a good pair vise grips and pull the pin out, straighten it back up, and reinstall it. May have to get a nail set and mallet to force it back in there. The other thing you could do is get a small screw - maybe a #4 or smaller, and just reattach it that way. May not work the best but not being a real system should work to keep the top in place. Unfortunately in the field, we don’t normally “fix” pull stations, just replace them!
Yeah it is just friction fitted. You should be able to fix it without a problem.
