Hello, there is what appears to be some sort of old Edwards/Honeywell smoke or heat detector? Does anyone know the model of this?

I’ve seen one of these before. As I understand it, this is actually a vintage Honeywell thermostat. Is it mounted at eye-level? Most wall-mount smoke detectors are installed closer to the ceiling. Nice find, nevertheless.
Cool, it is maybe about 5-7 feet off the ground. I only asked because I feel I saw somewhere that it was a heat or smoke detector.
