Can IDnet and/or mapnet wiring cause Interference when crossed?

What I mean is, let’s say you have a smoke detector, fed with a flex. A pipe, that’s in the same loop, makes a perpendicular pass with the flex.

I have been told that it cannot cross like that as it will create interference.

Secondly, both the pipe, and the flex are heading to the same junction box.

Is this true? If so…why?

Generally, wires or raceways run perpendicular shouldn’t cause interference, only unencased cables running in parallel. The metal helps to protect the cables from RFI. I’m used to Mapnet and ID Net cables being shielded which also helps to avoid any interference.
