Hey guys. I spotted some very rare devices at the mall I work at. Lord and Taylor at Tysons Corner Center Mall in Mclean, Virginia has Ceiling Mount versions of the Simplex 4903 Light and Strobe Plates! I’m wondering if any of y’all might know if they have a different model number compared to the wall mount ones. You can check them out on my new website which can be access via my signature.

The alarm in your avatar is a 4903-9001 incandescent light plate with a 4905-9904 ceiling lens.

Sounds likely. I have seen a similar ceiling-mounted retrofit plate at the Galleria Mall in Taunton MA, complete with 2901-9838 horns, but it had the standard 4903-9101 strobe (with “FIRE” on the front), as the other alarms like that in the mall were wall-mounted (system is a Simplex 4100 from 1991 set up in a non-addressable manner.)
