Cheap RV Smoke Alarms Having False Alarms

I was just camping at a campground. The amount of smoke alarms I heard going off in RVs was crazy. Apparently, the cheap ionization smoke alarms in RVs and the typical campfires, grilling, cooking, and gas furnaces don’t mix well.

Does anyone know if there is a specific reason for RVs typically using ionization smoke alarms? Do photoelectric smoke alarms work well with RVs’ unique combustion characteristics?
