Co detector wiring

I am wiring one system sensor CO1224T to a Firelite MS-5UD panel. I am going to wire to it’s own zone but cannot decipher the wiring diagram that came with the unit. Can anyone explain wire terminations and resistor placement for this setup. Would appreciate the help. Another thing is I dont seem to have a non-resettable power supply terminal in the MS5-UD panel as required for the CO detector. Thanks for any help.

I am hesitant to provide assistance on this until I know more about your training and experience level on fire alarm systems or how this system is being used.

I don’t want to seem elitist, but I have never seen either the CO1224T or Firelite MS-5UD, yet in looking at the manuals on-line, I figured out the wiring in a few minutes. This brings me to some questions.

Is this a hobby system or a live installed system actually protecting life and property?

Is this system monitored by a central station?

Do you have programming authorization on this system?

As a professional in this field (even though retired) I have an obligation to not jeopardize the protection provided by a live installed system by giving instructions to inexperienced personnel.

I am a licensed electrical contractor. New to the alarm field. System is being installed in a 1400sq.ft. store . It will be monitored by a central station.

For training on fire alarm, see if there is an IEC chapter in your area. Many of them are teaching a fire alarm course developed by one of the chapters. It is really good information. I taught the beta version for the chapter here and worked with IEC National on the final version.

Simple setup. TB9 on the left side of the board is your aux power. That is if it is a fairly new ms5. The old ones didn’t have aux power. You can still use the power from the annunciator buss if you have too. The detector uses non resettable power. One pair to the alarm zone one pair for power. Put a jumper wire from NO to one “T” terminal and your 4.7k resistor from C to the other T terminal.
