CO/Honeywell 301c issues

Hey all, first timer here.

Having some issues installling a local CO system in a commercial kitchen. Plumbing code in MA is requiring a CO monitoring system for under the 2 hoods in the facility, function is to shut down gas valve for appropriate hood and trip a monitor module to FACP.

Long story short, we have a Honeywell 301c controller and 4 E3point sensors. Seems like overkill to me, i have installed E3point sensors on single hoods with good luck but salesperson told us we needed the controller because of having 2 hoods.

I have tried every combination of programming an event I can think of, and no matter what, I can simulate a test through the keypad and it works perfect. Once i test the sensor with CO in a can it reads the PPM climbing, goes into alarm per the LED, but will not activate any relays.

Tech support is not very coherent and is telling me I have a bad controller. Or tells me to switch the output connections to a different relay. Or something else in a heavy accent I cant understand.

Does anyone have experience with these controllers? Thanks in advance.
