Coding a Pyrotronics/ Wheelock EHM D

So I got 2 EHM D rebranded by Pyrotronics and I was wondering how can I code this to temporal? Does anyone know

Are there DIP switches on the back of the alarm?

I don’t see any, here is a picture

You could do the System-Sensor-MDL-Outputting-Code-3 method.

What is that?

If wired correctly, a System Sensor MDL sync module can output a Code-3 pattern to horns.

So just to clarify, I’d I hook my EHM Ds to that correctly, it will do temporal correct? Also, how would I wire the strobes because the warning says not to wire them together with the horn

These probably follow the coding output by the NAC panel or facp. Because of that you can’t tie it to the strobe because it’s getting constant power.

The strobes will go on their own circuit.

You would just hook the strobe to the constant power, before it feeds the sync module. The horn will go on the output of the module, which will be coded to Code-3.

Okay, so I found the module. Would I buy the Spectralert Classic or advance MDL?

As long as it’s an MDL module, I don’t think it’ll matter.

One more thing on the MDL, can you sync the strobes with different brands of alarms? (Example: Wheelock MT and Wheelock NS) also, will this method work for any horn for any company? (Example: Simplex)

Nope. Only works with certain System Sensor devices. Wheelock, Gentex, Simplex, etc. have their own sync modules.
