These are very old Youtube videos (having been uploaded in 2007 & 2008 respectively), but they appear to be part of/from a larger program possibly produced by CTV (a Canadian television channel, or at least broadcasted by them) apparently concerning both the ineffectiveness of ionization smoke alarms (which many news channels have covered over the years) & that First Alert apparently rigged the alarms they sent to UL (& ULC) for testing so they’d pass. Notable is that NLind asked in the comments of the second video if anyone had the full program, & as far as I can tell I managed to find part of the rest in the form of the first video (who knows where the whole thing might be though).
