Saw this Federal horn/strobe at our local supply house, when I noticed the “FIRE” lettering looked a bit funny. Upon closer inspection, someone wrote their own “FIRE” lettering in black sharpie. I guess there’s a first for everything.

Well, I have seen worse… The writing is at least neater than my handwriting 
That’s kind like what new age server alarms did with a federal signal i-strobe
Mhm, specifically in “Mini System Test 23”: he took a blank VALS & wrote “FM200” on it.
The writing on that strobe was actually pretty good
Maybe it came blank or without stickers or the writing just came off over time but the device still works so they just wrote that on there.
