Today at 3:15 PM, the fire alarm system at my local high school was activated. They still have not released a statement on why the alarm was activated. The interesting thing about the alarm was the fact that there was a message and tone that I have never heard from a EST system before. I do have a video, however it is from someone else, and there is talking over the message. Video. The tone almost sounds like a low-pitched EST genesis, and the voice message is hard to hear, though it is pretty interesting.

It sounds like an extremely low quality recording of a Genesis.

You can have custom messages on all the major voice panels. Kind of sounds like the speaker is failing

Why does it sound like the speaker is failing? the pause in the middle of the video is because this was a snapchat story, and it only takes short videos and splices them together.

it sounds like its a bell ringing for the audio but its peaking or something. just doesnt sound healthy

The speakers that are playing the message are not rated for life safety, or for the volume to be that high. That might be why the speakers sound weird

The speakers sound fine to me on the voice message. I think that the recording of the Genesis is just very poor quality.

Definitely. You can kind of hear the high pitched genesis, along with the low pitched genesis in the sane recording

I know with EST/Kidde you can even use a microphone to record messages for voice systems. Maybe why it sounds low quality? I just use the messages that EST/Kidde give with the program.
