Dark Theme + Theme Switcher

I know there have been about 1000 posts of people asking about a new theme, and I know phpBB theme development and design can take a long time (source: my own failed attempts) and the admins here put as much time as they can into this forum, but they all have lives so I’m not asking for that… but reading this forum late at night as I do sometimes, now is an example, writing this at 1 AM I find myself using invert colors to reduce the bright white light. It’s not a huge deal, but I think it would be a nice, and knock on wood… easy addition to the forum.

I after a little bit of searching found a few options for theme switching and a somewhat similar to default dark theme that could be used in the short (or long) term.

I’d be happy to send over the links, but depending on the phpBB version the site is running they may be incompatible.

Sorry for the bump, but I second this. However, unlike the OP, I typically don’t stay up past midnight regardless of whatever season it is (I would say that I try to go to bed between 10 and 10:30 but that tends to fail miserably). It’s more of a matter of when it starts to get dark outside.

Sorry for bump, but I found the page of dark themes from the phpBB site that are compatible with the version this forum runs on. If dark theme were to be implemented, what one would you want (note this is an unofficial poll, and is only so the administration knows what we want)?

“AcidTech” looks good to me. I would have chosen themes with some red in them (since the last theme of this forum used red as one of its colors), however, one of them has red text where you would have to squint your eyes or even look closer at the screen (ExtremeDark Red), and the other one doesn’t meet their licensing guidelines, according to that theme’s page.

I would like a red theme as well, given that’s what I use on an image board.
