Did you ever find fire alarms or household smoke alarms inti

Did you ever used to think fire alarms or household smoke alarms looked intimidating?

I used to, especially when I was trying to sleep.

Mine looks like this…

…which looks intimidating in the dark.

I didn’t like those grilles on 4050-8Xs or SAE AV32s.
However, I was scared to death of the noise of the fire alarms. I cried when I got one in my old room until I had it taken out (although, I was on a bunk bed and it was like 3’ from my head, and there was another alarm just outside of my room).

SpectrAlert Classics (at the right angle) seem to change emotion.

Wheelock AS’s looked loud to me. They are loud, though.

You must hate my avatar, then.

As for commercial NAs, I think the Wheelock 7002T and MT both looks a bit intimidating, especially in the dark.

I always thought Space Age AV34’s looked especially big and menacing, though in a cool way. I think red lenses have a more “emergency” look to them than clear strobes do.

Simplex TrueAlerts looked menacing to me when I was in elementary school. To me, their strobe looked almost like some sort of weird, creepy smile.

I find the system sensor p224mcc I think I got the model number right Intimidating

Do you mean the P1224MC or the P1224MCW?

I would have to agree with Jared on the Simplex TrueAlerts.

My second elementary school had a Simplex 4005 system with older style TrueAlerts on continuous. I just thought they looked intimidating, simply because I was afraid of the noise, and how I knew they could go off at any moment.

The p1224MC

I used to be terrified of the Gentex SHG for some reason and then got over the fear and started to like it.

The EST Integrity used to strike fear into my heart in elementary school… It still does.

Spectralert Advance speaker strobes were indimidating to me until 1 month ago. But when your laying in a hotel room on your bed, the smoke detectors green or red light flasing every minute intimidates me ALOT!
