I should be getting an older 4100+ from a friend come this weekend (weekend of 4/7/25) and I need the software that would program it. I would really appreciate your help!
The 4100+ programmer is rather uncommon nowadays - it’s ancient and the latest version it will reliably run on is somewhere circa Windows XP. Your best bet is getting it programmed privately; I know that Nic has reached out to you already so I would go forward with that option.
It requires a security key to run the programmer… Unless there are cracked versions floating around. Back in the day it was a green serial dongle, which changed to USB in the 2000s and is now a registered license key. But there might be ways around it that I don’t know about.
Also, the revision matters! The programmer is based on the cpu revision, so you would need to make sure that whatever programmer you get (assuming you can run it) is compatible with your CPU. (I think 4100+ revs are 8.06 thru 9.2.22)
