I was browsing around on Eaton’s website, and i found this: https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/catalog/alarms-and-signaling-devices/intelligent-notification-controller.html and i was wondering if anyone has seen one of these before. The display looks like it is the same one used on Eaton’s UPS units, at least the 9px series.
I looked at the data sheets and the marketing video, and it seems like many of the addressable communications are only done in supervision polarity, which would explain the compatibility with conventional Wheelock devices. However, I am unsure of how the “Limit” faults are reported during alarm without interfering with the conventional devices on the trunk NAC. My only guess is that the Sub-NAC modules create brief short circuits that temporarily disable the conventional devices while reporting new troubles in alarm.
