Oh no! I wasn’t the only one? LOL!!
Who hasn’t? I still stick my hand in the VCR when the tape won’t load :D.
What’s this VCR everyone keeps talking about… is it a gaming computer or something?
You watch AVGN so I’m pretty sure that’s some classic Big Green sarcasm.
When I was a toddler, I managed to stick my finger partially into an electrical socket. Scared the crap out of me!
I almost got killed by an “unpowered” WST strobe on my 7002T. Damn capacitors!
I’m using “got killed” jokingly, of course.
Most of my VCRs are Panasonic Omnivisions from the mid 1980’s… Of course, they are all VHS units, not Beta. I want to get a Beta VTR eventually.
Question for young people: What company created the Beta video format?
That’s not very nice.
Was it Sony? I saw it a while ago on Modern Marvels.
I’m 90% sure it’s Sony.
This is the schematic Andrew drew to help Nathan power his 12VDC RSS. This was the resistor method I was talking about - you might find success with this.
Edit: Oops, forgot to attach it!
Edit again: They have to be 100-ohm, 1-watt resistors.
I never drew that schematic…
Oh, I guess you found it somewhere. Sorry.
It does work though, doesn’t it?
Here is the original source of that schematic Netscape128 posted, to “background check” it
For anybody wondering, it was Sony.
