This bell is a 9V DC Edwards Signaling No. 561 Adaptabel (vibrating)
I wanted to know the rarity of this item and I did a short test with a modular power supply set to 9V DC and it ran quite smoothly.
I didn’t describe my post on reddit very well and it didn’t get very popular. I also haven’t seen any 9V DC versions online other than my own pictures.
I don’t know how rare this bell really is and I found it in my basement in a random box. The paint was already like that when I found it and based off of testing, the solenoid is good. The tag is in relatively good condition, good enough so you can see the old logo.
There is no alarm panel that I know of though there is some old hard-wired smoke alarms though I don’t know if those are related to this bell as this could’ve also been a security alarm and my post on reddit was kind of vague as I wasn’t that much into the hobby then as you can tell by my profile picture and my accounts display name.
