Working on a large single family dwelling unit that has an elevator.

Is an elevator recall system a must by code or optional?

I don’t think elevator recall would be necessary for a building that’s mainly residential but check if there’s any local city ordinances or county code if those are required.

Going to agree with you here. Residential code is usually very different from commercial, but we cannot answer this for sure. @S_Kelly you should be reaching out to your local municipality to determine what is required.
