I would like to start by saying I have posted here before, but under a different handle.
My city has two buildings that use Ellenco pull stations, possibly model 5D. A 7 story office building, from the early 70s and a large church from the late 60s. The office uses rebranded versions of the simplex 4050. The lobby has an unbranded annunciator in a stainless steel cabinet with large jewel lights. The church has at least two different models of the “EllBell”. One pull has been replaced with a Wheelock T-bar. The question is, does anyone know if Ellenco made panels? The office may have a Simplex system judging by the NAs and annunciator, but I have no way to know. Does anyone know anything about Ellenco? These are probably some of the largest buildings in the city, and the pulls are noncoded, so there must be a FACP. Answers are appreciated.
PS. My city does not, and never has, had any masterboxes, if this matters.
Ellenco (originally Ellman Engineering Co.) manufactured and installed their own fire alarm systems until the 70’s when they became a Pyrotronics and Faraday distributor. They were eventually bought out by Siemens.
Also, those horns were originally made by Faraday and rebranded by Simplex along with many other brands.
