imo the fire alarm help topic should be expanded into a life safety help topic

Alright mods.. It’s a go go for the community!!M

4 out of 5 votes is not a “go” from the community in my opinion. I generally see that while the Emergency Lighting section gets some use, it’s not nearly as much as the alarm section. The security help section existed YEARS ago, but I also believe it doesn’t get enough traction to require a dedicated section.

Generally, I actually think the forums has too many categories, which is why I’m resistant to creating new ones out of the blue.

Again, I think should merge every help topic we have into a General Life Safety Topic for, well, general life-safety related things (emergency lighting, fire + smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and to an extent, security systems)

I’m not necessarily against it. Just a fairly large change to something that’s been in this forum since well before I was even on it. Open to hear more community input on that for sure.
