I’m working on a Notifier NFS 640 that randomly activates drill mode. It happened three times on Sunday, at 1:30 AM 6:30AM and 3:00 PM. Anyone have any ideas what’s wrong?
Any chance the drill button is ‘pressing’ itself? I’ve seen it happen on other systems - the momentary buttons were gel or air filled and would occasionally activate like the switch was being shorted or pressed.
There is also the chance a wire is touching the can somewhere or another place on the board and shorting out and causing it to register a button push. Would be one of the first things I would check.
