What’s the difference between addressable and analog addressable?

I think it’s to do with the detectors, I’m not 100% sure tho

I prefer conventional systems, there’s often no need to program these, plus you don’t have to worry about setting addresses, and the devices are much cheaper.

Although addressable systems are really enticing, much more room for initiating devices, advanced functions and so on.

ETA: It’s a hard choice, IMHO, but for a small hobbyist system, going addressable probably has more headaches than it’s worth (such as panels that require unobtainable programming software), but if you have a panel that either allows you to program it from the front (Simplex 4010 [unless it has a DACT] for instance in the US, or for an example in my country, Nugelec TSM-Evolution), or the software is easily obtainable, that can work very well.

How do Two Wire system work in the UK?

Is it a system where Initiation, Control and Notification Devices are on a single 2 Wire SLC?

I was wondering, because I don’t think we have it here in the US. (I’m assuming the closest Variant is IDNet with Truealert ES Devices.)

Devices are on two wires and are essentially conventional

Oh. I was about to ask you that. Thanks!
