Do any of you guys know what software is available to plan the install and planning of a fire alarm

AutoCAD is the industry standard. Microstation if you do a lot of government work.
what version would recommend
Just normal AutoCAD 2015, there’s a bunch of specialized versions like AutoCAD mechanical, architectural, etc. but you don’t need any of that.
What do you need it for?
I am planning on studying to be a Mep engineer and would like to practice doing system design
My best advice is to take some drafting classes then, AutoCAD is something you’ll definitely need to know along with plans and specs.
Also, M or E or P? Pick one.
