the interaction i had felt a little off, noting when i asked him if i could have a 4001, he asked “What are you gonna do with it?” he already knows i’m a collector, so him asking me that kinda shut me down

he does keep some old stuff for example if a 9806 breaks down (there’s some active on some apartments here on campus) he can easily swap it with an identical model… is that even allowed? for now it does look like a good idea but idk
