Fire at the First Baptist Dallas Church

Last night a little after 6 pm a fire broke out at the First Baptist Dallas Historic Sanctuary at the time the blaze was a 2-alarm situation. Firefighters rushed to the scene and fought the blaze, eventually, the firefighters thought they had contained the fire, but minutes later the blaze broke out again. By now the blaze is a 4-alarm and burning uncontrollably. Eventually, the fire was extinguished.

Below you can see a photo that a good friend of mine took and a video that you can hear fire alarms.

Has anyone determined the cause?

No, but my best guess would be it had something to do with electrical wiring due to the building being old.

True. Its one of the oldest buildings for what I know.

I wonder if the building will be a total loss. I hope most of the brick structure is salvageable so that they can restore the place.

Im going to try to drive by later this week to see how bad it is. I think there is a chance that the brick structure is salvageable, but it would take a while to restore the place.
