Fire lite ms-4 - adding a second transformer for NACS

Hello, i nee dhelp on how ot add a seocnd transformer to the fire lite ms-4 becyase id like to add a total of 6 Amps on the nacs instead of just 3 Amps. How do you connect to panel and will the panel need more input voltage. (Like will 120VAC still power the system?)

Yeah I don’t think it works like that, especially since all the circuitry is meant for the voltage that the factory-standard single transformer outputs, thus meaning that if you were to add a second one you’d only blow out all of said circuitry (& also possibly start a fire, so don’t).

Exactly what I thought! That’s why I asked because I didn’t trust the google AI

Well I’m glad you did ask: you might have seriously hurt or even killed yourself or someone else trying to fit an MS-4 with a second transformer! (not to mention possibly setting fire to something as well)

You should have looked at an actual manual. Like I said, Fire-Lite has official documentation, it helps.

I wasn’t even planning on doing this just tying to see options so thanks

Oh, uh, okay I guess…sure though!

Looking in the official Fire-Lite manual for the MS-4, a second transformer is an intended and supported feature. You can check out the manual here.

Oh, really? Huh, had no idea. Still though: be sure you know what you’re doing while putting one in!
