Hello all, hoping someone could answer a question for me, as I am new to working with the Fire-Lite ES series panels (in this case, an ES-200X).
I know with some Simplex systems I’ve worked with in the past, it was possible to configure the system so that if a single detector activated, it would only sound at the local sounder base - building NACs wouldn’t activate. However, if any second detector activated, adjacent or no, all building NACs would sound. (This allowed for building personnel to check single alarm activations in resident rooms without evacuating the entire building).
I was wondering if it was possible to use zoning on the ES-200X to achieve something similar? I am aware of PAS or pre-signal delays, but these all seem to have a maximum delay of 3 minutes, whereas in the aforementioned Simplex system, as long as it was only the single activated detector, the NACs would never activate as long as a second detector never went in to alarm.
I know you can use Fire-Lite zones to map the sounder base just to the detector, but in this case the NACs will never activate, no matter how many detectors alarm.
Any advice, or is this impossible with Fire-Lite panels?
Thanks for the advice!
