GREAT NEWS: New laptop!

Hello everyone! I recently snagged a fantastic deal on a Dell Latitude 7455 to replace my old one that had a hinge failure and caused the screen to crack. It was on clearance at Micro Center’s Indianapolis warehouse, down from 3000USD to 900. It has a Snapdragon X Elite CPU, 16GB of super-fast RAM, 512GB of M.2 NVMe SSD storage, 54Wh battery and what I was most looking forward to: the build quality is much improved than any other Windows laptop at 900USD. It uses an aluminum chassis with a unibody design (similar to a MacBook) and I chose this because I don’t want another hinge failure on my laptop. Also with the Snapdragon X Elite CPU, it is super powerful and very efficient, and even with that seemingly small 54Wh battery, this thing will probably last at least 12 hours on a charge. When it comes to the display, it is really good. It’s a 14-inch, QHD+ IPS display with anti-glare, up to 400 nits, and looks super sharp. The speakers are also very good, two up-facing speakers and two downward facing speakers which sound very clear and bassy. It’s lightweight at around 3.1 pounds, and slimmer than my old one. I nicknamed it Slim Shady for a good reason: it’s slim and it’s gray. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

My only slight gimmick is there is a fan bearing noise problem that makes the fan really squeaky but it’s easy to fix (just a 10USD fan at max) so I’m not bothered too much. And that reminds me: this device is very repairable aside from soldered RAM. It uses Philips screws instead of T-screws to open the bottom case. SSD is swappable which is nice.
