Yeah: kind of a shame actually given they otherwise seem good.
Yeah: moreso if they’re the -7 model which have extra amperage for more signals & detectors along with outputting filtered DC (which allows the use of newer Simplex signals & makes other alarms sound good).
Yeah: the 4005 in particular also has password-protected programming, meaning that unless you know said passwords you can’t change anything about the panel’s behavior.
Fire Lite and Notifier panels including the 5/10UD also have passwords you need for programming. So it’s really something to be expected with panels that have displays. You just have to hope the last person factory reset the panel or it still has the default password.
It should work fine. Actually I have two of those and the one I have for you was working fine recently. The other is condition unknown. Just have to remove it. Hopefully this week.
I’m so thankful! It means so much to me. If theres anything I can do to help that would be really great to help with it’s removal if you needed it!?! I’m excited to test it with my alarms! Thank you so much!
I took it off the wall yesterday and cleaned the wiring up today. I’d still like to give it a quick check out then it’s yours. I need to locate one More EOL resistor too.
