In my school, there are these square smoke detectors. I can’t find a mode number, or anything on Google. Can you help identify it?
What makes you think this is a smoke detector?
Yeah: doesn’t look like any smoke detector I’ve ever seen.
Those aren’t in bathrooms are they? If so they might be vape detectors (since you wouldn’t normally find smoke detectors in bathrooms as that’s one of the locations they’re not supposed to be installed in due to a higher chance of false alarms &/or damage).
I have seen many of these in buildings. They are some sort of motion sensor for lights.
I see regular fire alarm smoke detectors meant for vape detection
Really? Makes no sense to me especially given the aftermentioned places you’re not supposed to install smoke detectors in (one of which being bathrooms) & the fact that there are purpose-built vape detectors made for such applications, which are likely a lot better & faster at picking up vape smoke than smoke detectors.
