All of these are no longer used.
I tried asking the Principal If I could save them but He said no.
Really a shame if you ask me that those supposedly can’t be saved. Is there anyone else you could ask about them?
I’ve tried many things. I asked the school custodian and he asked the principal but the principal said he doesn’t have permission to remove those.
The School also has BG-10s in the Agricultural Science Classroom along with Spectralert Classics.
Okay then: if he doesn’t have permission to do so who does?
If this school is part of a larger district, then maybe only the larger district can remove them. The principal might also think that only the fire alarm company can take these devices.
I think he has to get permission from the Fire department. Either that or he didn’t want me to have them.
The Principal has done some things that not only left many Old Alarms inactive waiting to Run again but is causing the downfall of the Orchestra Classes.
Yeah.
Pretty sure fire departments have very little to do with fire alarm systems aside from sometimes testing & certifying them & of course responding to alarms whether they’re real or false. If he specifically doesn’t want you to have them though that’s downright petty.
So neglection of duty? (besides that though not having a fully-functioning fire detection & alarm system is a serious safety hazard & violation that should be corrected as soon as possible)
In any case, I hope you find some way to save those devices Nolan.
I could see concern here over fairness between students, so it might be better to contact the people responsible for facilities and ask that the devices are posted on eBay (or in a local auction).
Thanks. I really don’t want those Old Devices to get scrapped. Though I have a bad feeling some of those Old Gray Simplex Bells won’t work.
Also I forgot to mention the Alarms haven’t been used since either the 1990s or early 2010s when the new Advance Speaker Strobes were installed.
The school also has some random Truealerts in some areas, but there are Advance Speaker Strobes very close to them.
So either the old system was decommissioned when they likely installed Truealerts to replace them, or they just so happened to have Truealerts to replace them along with the Advances and L Series Speaker Strobes. And some Commander 3s.
Also another thing there are some of those Gray Bells in the Bigger Gym but White. One was removed and only the mounting plate remains. And one gray bell is in the cafeteria next to the 2901-9806 but the cover is missing.
